Tasp 2007

no idea what end notes are but if its beyond me its definitely tasp level!!!

Okay okay so endnotes looked them up. thats what I used it should be fine. They didn't specify MLA or anything like that so they wont be particular. Just give respect where its due. The worst thing is them taking thackoskivy's ideas and thinking they are yours. :-/ Who thackoskivy?!??!?

J. Shi are you new????

welcome to your demise. aka. this thread

Lob, I thought you just asked who Tchaikovsky was.

And I was thinking, "Are you serious....this guy applied??"

But haha...nope. I just can't read!

of course i know who Tchaikovsky is. I love romantic composers.... Right thats him?

Okay so maybe I don't know him well but like I said before. I prefer the "Nuevo" Music. I mean like hello can you say Paris Hilton.

No don't worry I don't like that garbage. I like real hip hop. None of this 50 cent hit em up gangsta wannabe garbage though.

Sage Francis. Mos Def. Anticon. just to name a few.

Obviously most of yall show me up in that department, last few pages yall were talking about concertos and chateaus and stuff. Gaw i guess i just don't get around much :-/

I also dont appreciate you picking on the sophmore Billy. Haven't you ever taken social emotional learning. Gosh take SEL and then talk to me like that. :-P

Subtle rules, Giantredcommunist. As does Themselves. Represent the Yay.
YAY!

"Concertos and chateaus." Hahahaha.

I can't sit through a classical concert unless I'm in it.
I've fallen asleep before.
But I almost died playing Tchaik 5 today.

You're not really missing out on much...
I think I'd rather listen to Paris Hilton.

Almost.

haha almost.

And since when am I a communist.

The yay is represented well. YEE!

You are from the Bay Area, a notoriously liberal place.

Your screen name evokes a large RED AGGRESSIVE creature.
Q.E.D, Cogito Ergo Sum, Noli Me Tangere, etc.

Don't worry... I won't blacklist you.

Online applications due in... 5 days! Eeeek!

Honestly, I don't know if I'll be able to finish my essays. Finals are this week, and I have to raise 3 of my borderline B+s to an A, all determined by one test. And not fail miserably in my other 3 finals, prospectively lowering my grade. Then there's the SAT on saturday, which I should probably study for. And a formal dance on Saturday as well, although I guess that's not really relevant :P

Whoever said sleep is overrated is totally right.

Well, at least I have new music to listen to while I cram/fill my brain with useless information. Thank god for the new leaked Relient K, Bloc Party, and The Ataris albums.

oh is this getting personal lanky!?!? where are you from. I can stereyotype more than 60% of the US. and then the other 40% isn't worth my time so there :-P your going down.

Rocket they didnt push finals back a week after the snow?

Hey, here's an actual TASP-related question.
Does the letter of recommendation have zip, nada, or zilch effect on the admissions decision?
Rocketfueled, don't give up.
What insightful advice I dole out!

Ah, no es bueno. I am about two hours southwest of you - and I wish I weren't. My roots are in SF, and I envy all who live there/nearby. Perhaps that jealousy manifests itself in McCarthyism?

hmmm, i'm no expert, lankydenny, but i'd assume it plays a small role (otherwise they wouldn't ask for it). the bulk of your application IS your essays, however, so essays>>>>rec. i'd say... maybe 90% essays, 7.5% rec, 2.5% other (grades, ec's, etc)

Mmm I wish they would have. Our district's excuse is that they can't figure out how to reformat the computer system so that second semester starts a week later. Please.

I personally don't know, but I would guess the letter of rec. would be more of a character-judgment vote, kind of like a deciding factor for more iffy applications? So probably not a huge part.

whoa there! sleep isnt overrated -_-'' i love sleep haha

its alright rocketfuel, we'll all pull through

Thanks. I am trying to reconcile my sudden essay anxiety with the fact that my application is in the mail already. I've got to get off this thread. You people and your gargantuan intellects/Pulitzer Prize-winning essays/rippling muscles destroy my confidence... yet I can't... seem to... look away.

i would agree with roams breakdown give or take.

LAnky: I also believe that the lobster is actually quite a docile creature just often misunderstood. What can I say im for lobster civil rights. Which makes you an opponent, may your mother be ashamed.

Wait how can you live south west of Sanfran? wait a second you live in ocean probably a HERMIT crab by your salty disposition who is frequently bullied by lobsters. SORRY :-/

OKAY

I have done rough drafts of all my essays. Yes, they're crappy. But I don't care right now. Yes, I basically BSed ones for the book analysis + rankings, but still, they are rough drafts nonetheless.

Now it is dinner time - off to member bonding!

Then back around 8 - and it shall be time to do major (major) revamping!

Lol I always associated your name with the restaurant. Like the giant "Red Lobster." In the same thread as "Big K-Mart" or "Super Wal-Mart".

But I guess not... the depth and complexity of usernames these days!
