Hey all! As a 2017 TASPer, I received my finalist email on March 3. Good luck to you all!
As you move into the interview portion, I thought I would suggest a few guidelines for behavior. Having been in the same position as all of you last year, I know how scary this whole process is, and how much you probably want some reassurance/advice on how to ace every part of your application. However, before you go spamming every single former TASPer’s CollegeConfidential inbox or other social medias, I invite you to ask yourselves: how would someone I envision TASP is looking for approach the problem of asking for help? How can I be as respectful as possible when asking former TASPers or anyone else to give me advice? Not only is it simple manners, but it’ll make you a lot more likely to get a response (though I’ll mention that if you sent me a message back in the fall asking me to help you out and I didn’t respond, it was just because I am very unactive on this website and don’t have notifications for messages, so I never saw them). So just be courteous and it’ll get you great results if you want help with interviews! You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, after all

OK, so last year March 3rd was the first Friday in March, so it may be as early as tomorrow.
Do you hear from them if you didn’t make the interview round?

Tech week begins tomorrow for the kid’s play, and I suspect he has halfway forgotten that TASP exists. I am counting on you guys to let me know when you get your TASP emails so that I can prompt him to check his inbox. That is, if he isn’t too tired to remember how to operate a cellphone at the end of rehearsal.
My counselor said last year the result was mailed to our school, and there could be delay for days. If that’s true, it would be devastating… I wonder if they inform applicants from different regions separately.

On the website it said mid March. Have you guys already asked or notified a teacher to write a rec for TASP?
hey everyone, called the michigan offices and they said that mail has been sent out via USPS and we’ll be notified in the next week. the rep had no idea about emails.
What? It comes by mail, not gmail? Will it be sent to our homes?
They will send us an email as well but we just don’t know the time.
I suppose if they alreadyhave the results sent out by mail they oughta send us the email too haha
