Tasp

^ ss6622, you....you.....scared the beeejeeebers out of me...!!!!
Haha, damn. its slooooowly starting to sink in. Awww..

Evil_asian-- it was my interviewer who emailed/called me, so I think whether you've been notified or not at this point is probably entirely up to him or her.

congratulations to all the CCers who've made it so far!

Sourapplez- i hope you're right about them contacting people in our state/region later than everyone else. It gives me a little hope! Although I have to say, I'm still preparing for rejection.

Has anyone gotten a rejection yet, or are we all just waiting for an acceptance email? I guess rejections will come in a week or so?

OMG, that was NOT a funny joke at all. Gahhh...must remain positive...must remain positive...

I fell asleep and I had a nightmare that I had an interviewer named Fred who wrote me an email saying that my essays were not "unique but boring" and that I was rejected from TASP. Then he knocked on my door and handed me a letter which read, "rejection"

Atleast the official results are going to come in soon.

Sorry, Koukris, I didn't mean to freak anyone out. LOL. I'm getting nervous, too, and I'm wondering if the reason I haven't heard yet is because they send out the rejections later than the acceptances. You would think they send them out at the same time, but since the different interviewers are the ones sending the info, there's room for variation.

vegangirl- I have no doubts about you getting an interview. You'd be perfect for TASP, so don't lose hope! You and Ralph were my top bets.

Haha! I just got mine, here in Maryland. I'm to the interview!

At least one of my essays was awful... they say "read over your application." It stresses me out just to think about my application, much less reread it, the mistakes glaring and humiliating!

That said, I'm looking forward to the interview. I'm a better speaker than a writer. Now I'm just thinking... what'll I wear?

Congrats, CLeighDrie!

Same here; I'm much more comfortable with verbal communication, especially if it's as informal as the TASP interviews are meant to be. As far as what you should wear... are you a guy or a girl?

I'm planning to wear a flowery skirt and a light sweater. Look nice, but don't go all out with a business suit or anything.

I just got my official letter from Telluride. It smells nice.

everything comes at a price.....

today my faculty advisor called me out of class and told me that i WILL NOT be editor-in-chief of my beloved school paper next year. i've been an editor for 2 years....and i was really p i s s e d , u know? i got really gypped for no particular reason. i couldnt concentrate all day.

then i checked the mail and a nice, lovely, letter was waiting for me.

karma. times infinity.

I just got my interview notification here in Maryland. No email or phone call, just a one-page letter in the mail.

Good luck to the rest of you

SavoirFaire--

Girl here. I'm also thinking a happy skirt and nice top. It looks like we live close to each other--we might have the same interviewer. What session are you hoping for? I like Cornell II the best. I'm so excited.

My top choice is Cornell I (Foreign policy), followed by UMich (Islam). But I would love to attend any of the seminars, except for Cornell II. ><

Sorry, medieval literature just never appealed much to me...

I say that we start an interview roster, along with top choice seminars:

TASP Interview Candidates
1. savoirfaire- Cornell I (foreign policy)
2. chariot- Cornell II (medieval lit)
3. CLeighDrie- Cornell II (medieval lit)

no way! my top choice is cornell II!! i also like the south africa one, and islam sounds intersting, but this 'foreign policy as a subversion' thing is well, foreign to me.

oh God im so pumped.

Haha, that's part of why I like it. It's edgy.. and very theoretical, unpredictable.

Yay I got a letter. I was so worried too because of all you early people on CC.

2. chariot- Cornell II (medieval lit)
3. CLeighDrie- Cornell II (medieval lit)
4. bravos89- Cornell I (foreign policy)
