Tasp

Bravos89 lives in Alabama.

It looks like everyone so far is an east coast-er. so there's hope yet for those of us in the midwest/west. Sigh. This is making me nervous. I just want to get the rejection and be done with it.

LOL. You, vegangirl, a rejection? If that's true, there's no hope for the rest of us. Anyways, I'm here in Cali waiting for the mail guy to come. He's unusually late.

I GOT IT! WHOOOOOOOO! I just checked my mail and got an oh so sweet letter. And to think, the mailman can 4 hours ago. lol. Congrats to all finalists and never lose hope for those of you waiting. By the way, I live in Ohio.

ahhhhhh!!!
I got an interview!
The mail just came and there it was, tucked in with all the random college things.
I cannot believe this! I'm incredibly excited! (as evidenced by my inability to stay away from the exclamation key)

Still haven't gotten my interview letter. Lame...

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMGGGG!!!!

The Telluride letter was so small that my dad almost threw it in the trash because it was located under the bigass envelope WUSTL sent me today (just like every other day lol). I can't describe how surreal this feels.:):)

AHHHHHHHH!! This is incredible. I was fully prepared for a rejection letter & ready to cry and moan and weep and all that. And then I saw it was a thin envelope and I was like "Oh well..." and prepared myself for "Thank for your application, but due to a high number of outstanding applicants this year....".

So then the first line I saw was "you have been chosen as a finalist" and I SCREAMED. I'm running on adrenaline right now. Wow, this is amazing, and completely unexpected. My English teacher (the one who wrote my rec) is going to flip, especially since I told her right after I submitted the app that I honestly didn't believe that I would make it.

AHH incredible. Now I need to find people to do mock interviews with me. =]

grrr... I live in Utah... and am getting antsy. Oh when oh when will I receive my rejection letter? lol

DD also got the letter this evening (we are in LA). For those of you who are interested, the letter was postmarked on March 03 from Ithaca. Congratulations to all who received the letter!

Congrats to everybody here! Wow, no rejections yet. I'm getting all excited...even though I know a certain rejection letter will be sitting in the mail. sigh Oh well, there's a first for everything.

Anyway, cooonnnnngrattsss to all of you guys :) !!!

chillaxin- I did the same thing when I got my letter. I squealed and jumped and basically looked like an idiot. I'm incredibly excited, but I don't know what to do with this energy. No one I know really understands what TASP is.

Anyway, I'm already freaking out about the interview. I'm a writer, and while I love an argument, it's writing I do best, not talking. So we'll see how that goes...

No letter here. Oh, well....

Congrats everyone!! :)

I have feeling that only the acceptance letters have gone out so far and that the rejection letters will come a bit later for the rest of us. Congratz on the people who got an interview, I truly am envious.

Ditto vegangirl. The worst part is that my computer crashed last week, and all of my TASP essays were on it, and since I didn't back anything up, I don't have a copy of my TASP essays to review, which will be a huge setback. My mom recommended that I e-mail TASP and ask them to send me a copy of my essays, but I'm afraid that that wouldl put me in a negative light.

Should I just continue without them? I remember the essay topics well-enough, though I hadn't looked at them since the day after I turned them in. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and vegangirl, search for "tasp interview tips" at the top of this page. =]

Crap... I got called and setup an interview but haven't got a letter yet.

chillaxin- I think TASP would understand if you asked them for copies of your essays. I'm taking a look at mine now, and some of the things I wrote make me wince. Hopefully they won't ask me why I fail at coherence, because i really have no answer for that one :)

Arg! No letter yet.... :``(
I'm getting awfully nervous down here in New Mexico and awfully pessimistic. I just want hardcore results in my hand; be it rejection or acceptance.

But I have a feeling that, like pryoman said, only acceptance letters have gone out so far.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

i'm so excited! I heard about TASP litterally 4 days before the online app was due...

OMG, I got my letter in the mail this afternoon and an email shortly thereafter! Unfortunately, I'll have to drive 2 hours to get to my interview! But I'm excited nonetheless.

P.S. If you see an envelope that's white and skinny, don't freak out! I think they send all of them in the same size envelope. And has anyone out there gotten a rejection notification yet?
