Yes, it's true lollipop27.:) In fact, you can download the TASP application right off their website once the application comes out, regardless of whether you're nominated or get a high PSAT score, in early December or so of this year.

Good luck and don't get too worked up over the whole deal just yet!!!

Okay, so I received an email from my interviewer today. I did a quick google search, and it looks like she's a senior at Purdue.

I did a double take when I saw that, since I live in Colorado...not Indiana. The way the email she sent me was phrased, it looks like she's flying out here to do interviews (I know there are least two of us in my area, since one of my close friends is a finalist as well). I guess that means there are NO TASPers anywhere near where I live. Such an intelligent region of the country this is ;)

Anyway, I was glad to find out both that she's relatively young (TASP '99) and female. For some reason, I know I'll feel more comfortable being interviewed by a woman. Personal preference, I suppose.

Agh I really wish mine would contact me. Best of luck to you vegangirl! :] When is the interview? Hopefully we'll be seeing each other in St. Louis!

No date yet. She asked me what weekends are best for me in the next month. Hopefully it'll be at least a few weeks away, so I have adequate preparing/freaking out time.

and chillaxin, that would be so awesome! The St. Louis seminar is definitely the coolest. Wash U all the way!

has anyone still not been contacted for an interview? Im anticipating calls right now and I check my email at least 4 times a day. Talk about paranoid.

I haven't been contacted for an interview either, which slightly worries me as I'll be leaving soon for spring break...I'm afraid my interviewer will try to contact me then and then decide "well, if she can't call back, she must not care about TASP" cross-off.

^ TASP would never do that. If you're seriously worried about spring break clashing with the interview period, call the TASP office and tell them that about your schedule.

I only received the finalists' letter. I am worried a little bit. They might have called weekdays afternoon. I am never at home weekdays afternoon. I have to do stuff at school. I think that, if they call three times, they wight think that i really don't care. They might cancel my interview.

You guys, this is ridiculous. TASP would not cancel your interview simply because you weren't home when they called. But again, if it's seriously bothering you, just call the TASP office.

yeah, I agree with savoirfaire. Don't stress about this. It'll be fine.

I just got another email from my interviewer, and she's flying into Denver the weekend of the 25th and 26th to do interviews with people in my area. So I have a sort-of date now. :)

If I don't get any mail tomorrow, I'm going to call them Tuesday at lunch... and my voice will probably crack when I'm asking them about my status.

Mmhmm I agree about the waiting for TASP interview notification. I swear, I go online so much nowadays because I'm always anticipating an e-mail. I'm just slighly worried that I'll accidentally delete it because I get so much spam. heh. Anyways, I figure I'll contact Telluride if I don't get my interview notification in two weeks. Plus, that means all the more time to prepare right? :] And I honestly don't think that they would cancel your interview. As we have seen, Telluride really cares a lot about the finalists it chose. I mean, what other program do you know of that sends its interviewers flying halfway across the country to talk to you instead of the other way around?

I'm so excited about TASP that it's really unbelievable. I just hope I make it. Nobody else I know understands how much TASP means to me though, which is why you guys and previous TASPers are so awesome. :]

Hi everyone-
I live in the Midwest and I was called about my interview this morning. I'm being interviewed by a professor from Purdue University. Don't worry about it! I'm sure Telluride understands that their finalists are extremely busy students.

checked my email a little while ago and i got an email from my interviewer (im glad they didnt call, i woulda been taken by suprise.).my interview is this weekend (!) with a prof. and a student at a local uni.

Oh snap, this soon? I would've thought that they would at least give us this week and next week to prepare since it did say end of March. Where's your interview, chariot?

yeah, i know its really sudden! inteviews at a local, smallish liberal arts school- i only have to drive bout an hour. nervous. scared.

and now if i get weeded out it'll be so crushing! i'll feel like theyve said 'sorry, your'e just not that amazing in person.". ...ew, these negative thoughts need to stop.

Chariot, A few extremely practical words of advice:

-Look deep inside you, feel your heart beating inside your chest and remember that you are blessed with the gift of life...
-Look high above you, see the rainbow parting through the clouds and revealing the sun and let that sun warm your soul...
-Look all around you, hear the people singing words of joyous praise in your name. And let that positive energy rush through your blood until YOU fully believe in YOU
-Dance like no one is watching

And above all-
Stop biatching, please - you'll do fine

JK I LOVE YOU REALLY (AND SO DOES OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR)!!!!!!

I have a March 25th interview as well vegangirl. It's at the University of Michigan campus most likely which is definitely going to be sweet. My interviewer(there might be 2) sounds really cool and considerate so all I can do is hope for the best.
