Tasp

Oh goodness. Good luck to all of you! :] It'd be spectacular if all us CCers made it. heh. Anyways, be sure to fill me in on what it's like. I'm sure you'll all do amazingly! I'm still waiting for my interviewer(s) to contact me. All the more time to prep though. I'm surprised that nobody has reported that they're going to have more than 2 interviewers though. Looking back at last year's thread, there seemed to be a bunch of people with three or more.

Good luck to you too Matt!!! Just be patient with your interviewer, I'm sure that he/she will contact you soon. Besides, if your test scores are any indication, you will probably have no trouble getting into TASP lol.:p

P.S.: If you live in a heavily populated urban area, then you are more likely to get multiple interviewers than if you live in rural areas or overseas.

Hahah, that reminds me. I never got back to your PM because your inbox was full, but um, well, my name's not Matt. Most likely because I'm not a boy? lol. :]

*P.S.: If you live in a heavily populated urban area, then you are more likely to get multiple interviewers than if you live in rural areas or overseas. *

and apparently the midwest is just plain and simply a TASP abyss. My interviewer has to fly all the way from Texas to interview me. lol.

haha evilasiandictator, thats funny i just finished slaughterhouse five! however, i might be the only kid in my school system who cant stand kurt vonnegut. so it goes.

and yeah i guess that makes sense. if you live in , say, nyc, there are bound to be lots of taspers itching to help out and interview.

The DC area is going to have a lot of interviewers, I bet.

Does England have a lot of interviewers? Are there many former TASPers living abroad or would I have to do a phone interview?

^ Due to the TASP diaspora, there are probably at least a couple in the UK...

I got my TASP letter yesterday and they gave me an interview!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol, I'm soooo happy right now!! but I'm also worried about the interview :0

Does anyone here have experience with TASP phone interviews?? Mine will probably be over the phone since I'm an international student.

Also, is anyone still waiting to be contacted by their interviewer? I am...

savoirfaire, as I recall from reading past year's threads, I believe one of the people in DC had 6 interviewers, if I'm not mistaken. Or perhaps not 6, but definitely over 3.

Congrats greendayfan! :] Still waiting over here...

OOPS sorry!!!:o I don't remember why I thought that was your name lol but I apologize.

Bump it up baby!!!

Chillaxin--yeah, I read that, too. Six interviewers. 'Sounds more like defending a dissertation than applying for admission to a camp.

I hope and pray for a college student in a coffee shop!

6 interviews?!?!?! Holy cow!

Any past TASPers, do you have to be an AMAZING speaker/presenter to get past the interview round?

No, not six interviews--six interviewERs. Like, sitting at a table and having six people question your intelligence. I get this great picture in my mind of being in front of a bench, like in the Supreme Court, and having them all look down at me, wearing these black business suits and horn-rim glasses.

Really, though, I think it should be fine. I have some small worries, but it can't be too bad. I just wish my interviewer would e-mail me already.

haha when i think of multiple interviewers i picture this inquisition-like scene....

I think having six interviewers might be cool - it could be like a seminar before the seminar! Of course, that would depend on everyone treating it like a discussion. If it was a kind of 6 on 1 situation then, yeah, I could see it getting grim...

I've had an interview with 9 people before (for a scholarship). It's not so bad, after you get used to the attention. My interview was more of a straightforward series of questioning rather than a discussion.

I chose Michigan (Islam in Practice) as my first choice. I'm surprised to be the first person who chose this topic; personally, I find it fascinating.

Sort of random, perhaps, but does anyone know of any good throat soothers? My interview is tonight (eight hours, eek), and lucky me, I'm on the tail end of a very nasty cold/sinus/flu-like illness. I feel all right at this point, but my voice is shot. Any advice, please?
