TASS good for everyone?

Hello everyone! I was just wondering if TASS is good for people of all ethnicities, because it does seem to be focused mostly on African American studies. I however, am not African American so will the TASS experience still be worthwhile for me?

I honestly think so. If you want to learn about African American studies, go for it. They don't discriminate based on rate. What have you got to lose? It's a free program. It's not going to hurt to apply!

TASS is not for all people in general, even african americans.

TASS is very different from TASP, they don't even much focus on the same thing and the collection of people at TASS is nowhere near as intellectually oriented as a TASP. TASS is more about writing preparation and opportunities then about assembling the best in the world.

-This is me paraphrasing a former TASSers experience, I did not personally attend TASS.

I attended TASS last year and we had people of all nationalities andreligons. You learn from your seminars and from everyone aroung you. I went to the Michigan TASS and we had 30 TASSers; it was an experience of a lifetime. People are intellectual and the conversation is mind stimulating. Trust me on this one, if you go to TASS your friend at home are gonna seem dull for about a month.
