Decision dates anyone?

I don’t know when decisions will come out but hopefully soon! The website says “Scholarship Notification…early May” but then again it also says that interview notification was scheduled to happen in early March and I got my letter in late February, so maybe they’ll be ahead of schedule? I’m dying waiting to find out if I got in!

On another note, what is everyone thinking of doing if you don’t get in? I’ve been looking for an alternative for months, but I’m either too young (I won’t turn 16 until the fall), or they want an absolute commitment that I’m not willing to give until I’m rejected. Any suggestions/inspiration would be appreciated!

Good luck to everyone! Hopefully I’ll see you at TASS! :)

I think last year decisions came out sometime in late April.

As for my summer plans, I have nothing to do if i don’t get into TASS lol all the other programs I was interested in were too expensive. If i don’t get in I’ll probably do a lot of volunteering to make my summer a little more interesting:)

On an unrelated subject, how was everyone’s spring break??

April 25 at around 12:00 PM by email, to be exact. Hopefully you guys won’t be crowding around your computer at that time though, cause that could easily change.

Oh man I will definitely be crowding around my computer then!
May I ask how you know?

i have a college exam on the 25th. it’s gonna take sooo much willpower to focus on the exam and not on the email waiting for me. maybe i’ll get lucky and they’ll come out earlier :P

Sorry, didn’t mention that that was for last year >.>

UM GUYS i am literally shaking. I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED to know whether or not i got in. because if i didnt, I NEEED TO START MAKING PLANS FOR MY SUMMER NOW. i have a few plans on what im doing after tass, so i guess i could always extend that. but by no means would it be anything as prestigious as this, because anything else Ive applied for is only a week or two, or they want a committment that i too am not willing to give. im actually freaking out i need to know haha.

With each day that goes by i grow a little more obsessive and anxious lol i’m kinda curious to see how i will react to the decision

wait guys p;fmalksdmfkalsdmfkasdlkjfjn on the reals tho.
SOMEONE HELP ME!
what are some ideas of a productive summer if this doesnt work out i am getting anxiety

@elle822, I’m pretty much in the same boat as you. I don’t know what your interests are, but I would try contacting local museums and nonprofits to see if they might let you do something, regardless of whether or not they have any youth volunteer positions listed on their websites or anything. Depending on your age, you could apply for a camp counselor or counselor-in-training position at a camp. Museums, camps, libraries, hospitals, even parks maybe? The commitment issue is tricky. I’m not sure whether I should commit to something just so I have a backup plan even though it would basically be lying and if I get TASS I don’t want to burn any bridges for volunteer work during the school year or next summer.

I told myself I wasn’t going to freak out, but I am anyway. The end of the month seems really far away right now. Hang in there everybody!

@freelance548 Great advice! I didn’t think about contacting a hospital.
What program did you pick as your first choice??

@elle822 I’m thinking about volunteering at a local daycare. If you like working with kids maybe that’s another place you could contact. I haven’t made any summer plans either; I’m reallyyyy hoping i get into TASS, but at the same time not getting my hopes up lol

I completely forgot about this thread.
Just relax guys, whatever happens is meant to happen [=.
Make sure you keep your options open, there are many other summer programs available.
Good luck!

@lcloo19 I chose the Michigan program as my first choice, but both programs really appeal to me this year (even more so than the past topics listed on the website) so I would be thrilled to go to either. How about you?

Both programs sounded really great i had a hard time picking one lol I ended up choosing the Indiana one.
are we going to be notified about the decisions by email or letter??

Well I know that TASP decisions came out yesterday morning by email, so I’m surprised we haven’t gotten ours yet and I’ll admit that I’m freaking out!

By email, I think. Good luck!

I was freaking out yesterday! Im a little bit calmer now i thought we would find out our decisions before TASP, but i just hope we find out soon. I wish everyone the best of luck!

end of april is approaching, still havent heard anything and yes. i am freaking out.

oh god hi you guys i’m so worried
