Hey so I just completed my health questionnaire stuff. For the TB screening, it says whoever is coming from a country not listed must have a TB screening at SHS. ummmmm when is this due?? I'm coming from Indonesia and I will obviously not be at Penn til like end of August.. anyone know anything about this?? What so I get to Penn and I have to go to SHS immediately for a TB screening?? explain.

I got mine during NSO. Just go to student health when you get here. If you are really concerned you can always call them and explain the situation

Also, bring a lot of money with you. they will force you to take an x-ray because the utter idiots that run SHS at Penn do not understand what the following mean:

“I have already had this test before and I tested a false positive.”
“I am an international student, I will test false positive.”
“I have had x-rays before because I tested false positive”
“You are not allowed to give this test to someone twice if they test false positive” (this is true).

fuckers

You have to pay for it??? What if you have insurance and aren’t we already paying some $200 clinic fee ??

If I don’t get the TB screening because “I forgot, and they should’ve reminded me”, will they hunt me down? hahah

^ They’ll probably put you on registration hold for spring registration. My roommate last year ran into this problem (she was missing a vaccination) and she actually ended up missing advanced registration because she couldn’t get it resolved in time…

ohh well then… guess I’ll just have to get it then asap. Thanks for letting me know!
