TB testing?

Anyone else get that email? I TB tested two years ago, and I have to do it again because it was before Spt, 2009? Cmon, Japan doesn't have TB.

I know, seriously? If you’ve been to majority of the world, go get a TB test? I just had a ton of blood tests and shots, so I don’t want another needle in me :frowning:
But I guess theres nothing I can do…

[Japan: Rash of TB cases worries officials](http://www.twnside.org.sg/title/rash-cn.htm)

Yeah honestly you guys just suck it up, it’s for the good of the whole campus. If anyone got TB it would be a disaster. Sorry, as usual I’m not being mean, just honest.

so on that page, i have to do other categories too right? other than TB testing

Japan doesn’t have TB?

How did you get into UCSD?

My friends entire class (biochem?) had to take tb tests last year because someone in their class had been in contact with it (around 300 students). You can imagine the chaos that would ensue if someone was actually Sick with TB on campus.

Whoever just went to the FIFA 2010 world cup got screwed over lol…

Yea I have to do it… question #3 did me in. You can’t lie as one look at your passport, busted!

so we have to do all the other ones also? Because some of the stuff I don’t want to agree to.

TB tests are pretty much annual things now, just like physicals, so just suck it up and get one.

Wait can someone clarify who has to take these tests? I got an email about completing the 4 things that SHS online services offer (the Health History Form, Notice of Privacy Practices, Treatment Agreement and TB Screening Questionnaire). But I don’t see anything about taking the test again like the OP. Was it for people outside the US or something?

Edit - since I visited a place a few years ago listed in the “high risk” regions I guess I have to take a skin or blood test now?

I left the country in like 9th grade, but I’ve had many TB tests after I came back (required for volunteering at my local hospital) and tested negative each time. Will I have to take another one just for this?

my passport has also expired, and so, will it still show that I left the country when I renew it?

@ xUCSDx

The new passport you’ll receive will be blank, a clean slate to the naked eye. But I’m pretty sure the government has computer tabs on where you have been, which I think UCSD could access… better play it safe and come out clean.

Can anyone answer the question regarding what circumstances would require us to take another TB test if we’ve already taken one in the past?
