Does anyone know if taking SAT Subject Tests is required?

^anyone got accepted yet?

I called NJIT, and they said I got accepted to UMDNJ. If I get accepted to UMDNJ, am I allowed to choose what undergraduate school I want to go to, or is there a selection process for each undergrad school? I applied through TCNJ, Rutgers, and NJIT. Thanks for the replies.

^prithvi, can you tell me ur stats! congrats!

What medical summer programs did you guys attend? I’m really interested in the combined program, but I don’t have many EC’s directly related to medicine as of now (I’m currently a junior). Any advice on getting some experience/EC related to medicine to show my interest?

Did any one hear from TCNJ/UMDNJ?

Yeah, I got in. Dr. Shevlin called me 30 minutes ago, congratulating me on my acceptance.

^prithvi, do you mind sharing your stats?

we got a call from Dr. Shevlin today from TCNJ, my DS got accepted. Good luck to everyone out there waiting for Dr. Shevlin’s call

^classmom, stats please? and congrats!

Got an acceptance call as well from Dr. Shevlin!!! Very kind words :)

^whoever got accepted, congratz, and can you please post stats?!! I am dying to know…lol.

Does anyone know the deal with financial aid? Do we get full rides?

I heard from someone that both undergrad and med school are paid for…but I think thats just rumor…(?) crosses fingers

is there anyone that got accepted that didn’t have like a 2300-2400 on sats? i am so scared because right now, I am a sophomore, and I am in the 2000s, I don’t even know if can score that high. I really need to get into this program. I feel im capable of 2200 to 2250… :(

^ Calm down there, lol! You are just a sophomore and you’re already worrying about acceptance. Keep on practicing and you should see some improvement by the end of junior year.

And just a word of advice, don’t think that not getting into this program is the end of the world! The college admissions process is so random that just about anything can happen, especially with these competitive programs. Just try hard in school, make sure that you garner solid medical experience that you find meaningful, and participate in ECs that you enjoy. The SAT is just one piece of the application!

btw…what is your Math/CR combined score? TCNJ requires a 1450 combined. So don’t worry too much if your writing is a bit low compared to the others. Good luck, but again relax! :)

^the highest i got critical reading + math (superscored) on my practice test, is liek a 1440. I need to do better! But, usually I am in the 1300s… :frowning: i hate life…its just that…like SO MANY PEOPLE seem to have gotten 2300s this year! :frowning: I try so hard sometimes…it hurts…it really does… :(…manu do u mind if I send you my high school stats later?
