Is it bad if I haven’t sent in my application yet? lol

^ No, you can still wait the deadline isn’t over yet. And I applied Oct.20th ish and got the interview e-mail like Nov. 11 or something. @jj, sorry buddy but if you haven’t gotten a reply yet and you’re SAT is 1440, I don’t think they’ll call you. I asked and they said if you don’t have that they will DEFINITELY not consider you. It’s a prerequisite that is needed.

so if I apply like on Dec 1, when should I receive an interview? Winter Break?

^ I assume so. Don’t take my word for it though.

good luck for all u guys applying…please post stats!

how many of you have got emails for an interview at TCNJ for the 7 year program?

Hey guys,
Right now, i am a sophomore and i was wondering about how to prepare A LOT for the SAT. Like, I am studying and doing some practice tests now, but I really want to be prepared for next year! And I would like to know how you can crack a 1450 on the Math and Reading of the SAT in order to get into this program. What did you guys do? Like did u guys increase your scores if you had a lower sat score as like a beginning sophomore or freshman? Please do help! I need to get at least like a 2200+ on the SAT! Thanks.

Take the hardest math classes possible in your school and get A’s. As you become a junior, your score will increase a lot trust me. SAT’s are supposed to be for juniors/seniors anyways so don’t get caught up in it as a freshman/sophomore. Maybe, take the SAT question of the day and increase your vocabulary by a lot by reading and looking up words.
Good luck!

^ hey thanks…yah…but I am still worrying haha…I am planning to get near an 800 or an 800 on the math section. I am gonna practice alot this year to get close to 2100 SAT. I am just so nervous because I bought the Blue Book, and I am planning to spend my entire holidays practicing tests. Plus I am taking the hardest courses and getting A’s…Honors Alg II/Trig this year (A-A+ range). So yeah…can you give me more tips? Thanks

how many years of foreign language do you think these programs prefer, especially this one? I don’t know if I should take Spanish 4 Honors as a junior…because I wanted to add on an extra AP subject to get a total of 8. I’m so confused! lol…Otherwise, it won’t fit in my schedule.

plus…any of you who applied…please post stats, like sat scores, # of aps (do you think just taking 7 is enough? i mean like…i dont know if i can take 8…i would have to drop spanish 4 honors like i said before), ecs, etc

One of the things I would have done more as a freshman was to have more medically-related EC’s. So volunteer at a hospital throughout the high school year and get close to patients. Or train as an EMT. Or do research or do a pre-medical program for high school students. They really boost your application aside from the academics. Plus, you will have a lot to talk about during the interview, especially when you try to articulate why you want to be a doctor. Aside from academics, you should really try volunteering. The more hours, the more dedication, the better. With good grades and EC’s, you should be set.
Good luck!

Take as many AP’s as you can handle ( I don’t know who you are so I don’t know how many AP’s you can handle) so that you can get A’s in all of them. Keep your GPA up and make sure you practice for SAT’s and do good in your classes. For SAT’s, try to get at least a 1450 for math and reading combined.
Good luck!

Thanks, hope u give more suggestions…I’ll pm my future stats and current stats to you. Thakns

^Mark how many AP’s did you take? and what were ur stats? plz post them! or private message me. lol. thanks.

^relax please. there isn’t a specific formula to get into these programs. In fact, you are cementing your chances of not getting in by following the crowd. You need to be unique

^ okay…gotcha… thanks…
