^ I read that on the help tool also but my TF status says “under review, we have not looked at your documents or application yet” and that makes me nervous! How could they have not even looked at my documents yet if I am getting invited to join?
I got invited straight to a final interview so I thought my chances were pretty good, but I guess not…
What people have said might indicate you got in is if you have “yes” next to each individual necessary document. Your TF status should still be “under review”
Either way, though, you could still get in. I guess it’s just less likely you won’t get in if your documents are verified already. I don’t think they’d look at someone’s documents if they didn’t want to take them… I heard they know who they want a few days after the interview already and just look to see where to place everyone for the remainder of the time.

Hi guys I have been reading the threads from previous years, and now I figured I should post on this years. I applied for the 2nd deadline and tomorrow is the big day. I feel good about it because I have a yes next to my documents on TF and they emailed me for more documents ( i miss read the directions). IDK though because it’s in my nature to be pessimistic. Good luck everyone and either way I will let people know on here the outcome:) I chose DFW and San diego as my top choices!

@dawnbreaker9 I was also invited to a final interview without a phone interview so I thought I had an impressive resume but now that I haven’t seen any change whatsoever it’s hard to believe that I will be accepted. @TeachingTFA thank you so much for your optimism. I could understand if the program figured I’m not a good fit right now, it’s just that I was praised during the entire interview so I thought that I would have some sort of indication by now.

@ihearttfa1992 @aptfa2016 we could be wrong though…but that’s me trying to be optimistic. i thought I did great in the interview and everything. I emailed them asking why my documents or application hasn’t been reviewed and they said it’s normal and will be updated tomorrow. but still…
idk!!! this is just giving me anxiety and i hate it! Tomorrow won’t be any better since we all know that you actually find out before 6 pm

@dawnbreaker9 yes I thought the same thing I thought my final interview went well but I’ve scrolled through past years 2014 and 2015 forums and the people who did not have their forms viewed were rejected . So I am trying to remain hopeful and I usually got my emails from teach for America 10-11 am PST. So hopefully I do not have to wait all day and looking through past forums they received it around my time

so i just reread the email and it says something like check your Transitional Funding Status page to see if we require additional information or if the documents you submitted fulfill our requirement.
If you do not see an update from us on your page requesting further documents, then you can expect to see an award offer on the day you receive your final admissions decision, provided you are accepted into the corps. Until that day, your status will show as “Under Review”.
SOOOO i guess this means that if your documents haven’t been confirmed that they fulfill their requirements, then we probably didn’t get invited because why would they waste time confirming our documents if we aren’t getting invited. Great.
I did not do the transitional funding, that was optional correct? As in that should not affect my application right?
@dawnbreaker9 Aw, well at least we all tried our hardest. I’m sure things will work out for everyone accepted and everyone who isn’t accepted as well.
