Just getting over a bout with the flu… it was a pure struggle bus ride, completing the online activity. Hopefully everything went well. I will remain positive that I didn’t screw myself over. I’m still lost on a sample teach as well. Thanks for the suggestions @MichaelEdu @TFAHopeful2016 !
@MoLoveMoGrowth glad that you are feeling better! Have you guys thought about your regions/ what you want to teach? @MoLoveMoGrowth @lakooh
Maybe NJ, San Antonio, and San Diego for Elem. Special Education!
What about you guys?
Anything Math or Science and thinking about ATL or Las Vegas. @lakooh @MoLoveMoGrowth.
Thanks, this past week has been interesting to say the least lol. My top areas are Dallas and Memphis… interested in elementary or middle school, and special education.
Hello everyone! I’m applying for the 3DL from WA State! Final interview is TOMORROW ;( anyone else super stressed out about it?
Oh wow tomorrow?? GOOD LUCK! Mine is Friday and I’m still working on my visual presentations D:
Mine is today I’m so nervous… GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!! @cneda105 @lakooh @MoLoveMoGrowth
It was fun guys no need to stress
i dont know @JPTEACH interviews are never fun…haha but i’ll try to take your advice and de-stress for the next two days
I had my interview today. It was definitely a fun and insightful interview. It was really awesome getting to know other people who have a passion to make a difference. My only concern at the moment is the possibility of being rejected. I’ve read other forums for 2015 corps members and there were plenty of rejections. I’m hoping being a male minority works in my favor.
I think that’s what I’m most excited for; to meet other people who have similar passions and beliefs. I’m actually becoming more excited about this interview now that you guys keep saying how it was fun @ssgradstudent @JPTEACH
You will do great and good luck tomorrow @lakooh just remember to be yourself and have fun.
@ssgradstudent there aren’t a lot of males in the teaching world so being a male minority might give you leg up. I am glad that it was a fun experience for you!
@JPTEACH Thanks for the encouragement. There were three other males at my interview which was very surprising to see. But we all came from different backgrounds so it was an interesting dynamic.
There are lots and lots and lots of males in education, particularly in secondary. Social Studies, in particular tends to draw lots of guys.
Hey guys! I’ve been briefly following this thread for a while now. I had a final interview today too. I was SO impressed with all of the applicants at my interview…obviously I don’t know much about their individual backgrounds, but most of the lesson plans were great. A few were short on time, but were still effective despite being cutoff.
Welcome @TFAhopeful26 I had my interview on Wednesday and January seems so far away
Glad to hear everyone 's interview went well this week! Mine is tomorrow, and it’s virtual eeeek will keep you posted!
Good luck today @MoLoveMoGrowth
