My interviewer said my resume and stuff was impressive but I don’t think I did a very good job answering the questions with a STAR style answer and I just kind of rambled lol 
I kinda rambled too. The STAR format was odd. I think it works better for written answers. My interviewer did say that my passion was “inspiring” and she asked me where I wanted to be placed if accepted so I’m hoping that’s a good sign.

I might be getting somewhat ahead of myself, but would anyone from the third cycle mind offering up what regions were (at that point) closed? I’m trying to sort of preliminarily construct a list just in case, but I don’t want to waste my time thinking about regions that might already be closed… 
@vauban17 think someone earlier said Washington and Colorado were already closed? Not sure about the others. Did you check your code and got “assignment” too?
I think we all have to talk with a counselor before we make our choices so I’m sure you could ask then too! @vauban17
I also got the same applicant code as you guys so I’m guessing that might not indicate anything if we all got it. Do the interviewers know if you’ve been accepted while you are still there, are do they really send it off and wait for results?
Yeah don’t think the code reflects anything since no one has a rejected code. Also don’t think they know, I’m not sure they make the final decision @OSU12345
I heard that your interviewer makes a recommendation, either yes or no, after evaluating you all day, but that all of your information is then sent off to a final team somewhere that makes the final decision. Do any of you know what time the decisions have come out in the past? I know they say around 8pm central time but I think some people have said it was much earlier in the day!
I saw in the past it was anywhere from 1-8pm ET
@Infidelis you said you do computer science, do you think there is a chance our code could change before tomorrow to reflect their decision?
@spencer0613 Well I think they probably have already made the decisions. So, if it was going to change, it probably already would have. I have been searching the code looking for other indicators because most likely there is a different place now that reflects the decision, but so far I haven’t found anything other than some lines of code that says my application is still “open.” Would help if I had a irl friend I could compare the entire code with but at this point I guess we will just have to wait until tomorrow unfortunately.
@Infidelis I’ve tried doing the same thing - searching the code looking for something else - but because I don’t do computer science I’m fairly certain my searching is futile haha, tomorrow can’t come soon enough!

@Infidelis No, I didn’t. Did you? I heard before that people were able to check if they have viewed their request for funding before decisions came out but now it seems like people are saying they don’t review it until after you’ve been accepted
@spencer0613 Oh ok that makes sense. I didn’t apply either, but I saw in the code a place for someones’ funding status (mine was blank since I didn’t apply). But it makes sense they changed it to only review it if you are accepted first.
@Infidelis So I just talked to my friend who was accepted this fall and she said that they weren’t able to chose their preferred regions until after they got their acceptance. She said that last year the candidates were able to do this but this year it was changed for everyone so you don’t submit your preferences until after you are accepted and can talk with a consultant. I know your interviewer said things had changed but I’m still hoping that maybe for some crazy reason the code still means something and everyone on the thread was accepted, even though that seems like a long shot!

@northwesttfa I was 3DL and I got WA without a special circumstance (well, I put one down but it wasn’t honored). I don’t think any regions are closed, as they say there’s an equal probability of getting each region for any given deadline.
