Teach For America- 2018 Corps

Hey everyone! I haven’t seen a place for any 2018 Corps members to post. I know it’s super early but I’m hoping there is someone out there like me who applied early action DL1. I applied last Friday and I am nervously waiting to hear back about whether or not I got an interview. Maybe someone is in the same boat??

I also applied and was offered an interview. Good luck to you!

@Collegecrazy1996 I just heard back and I was offered an interview! I am SO nervous. All the per-interview work is also nerve wracking, but I am also SUPER excited!!

I know there hasn’t been any movement on here but I have my final interview on 2/23 in Columbus! I still haven’t decided what I want to do my lesson on but I have a few ideas. I hope to be able to discuss and go through the process with others…

My interview is on 2/27, good luck to you! I also have not decided on a lesson plan.

I am in the process of completing the application. I am just trying to fine tune my essay now.

@Rsanta7 good luck! My interview is Thursday. I’m just ready to get it over with!

Had the interview today. It went so/so. I don’t know how I am going to be able to wait until March 1st…

I had my interview today and it went super well! And i thought we heard back on March 3?

I also was under the impression that we would hear back on the 3rd.

5 more days !!

I literally cannot wait!!! How am I supposed to pass the time

has anyone checked their tfa code?

Last I checked was Friday, I’m too scared to check now lol have you?

@spsmatluk07 the application center code or your profile? On my app page, disposition exit code is null and disposition step says final eval

I cant check my profile lol but on my regular app page where the timeline shows mine says “null”

The wait is soo long

wishful thinking: where is everyone wanting to teach and what grade/subject?

Nyc / english or special ed 6-12 grade

I’m a teaching of history major at my Chicago school. Ideally, I would like to teach middle school or high school social studies and stay in the city. California or New Mexico would be cool too. Or Miami (family there).
