Just wondering - do my teachers only need to write one recommendation that I can then send out to every school I apply to? Or are they going to need to write me an individual recommendation for Harvard, then another for XXX College, then another for YYY College, etc.

Teachers write one recommendation, so there is no tailoring by college; you can choose which teachers’ recommendations go to which schools.
If your teacher has more than one-year of experience at your high school, they should understand what they need to do.
