On common application, I am supposed to add the email of teachers who are going to write recommendations for me. The thing is.... I am international and teachers at my school don't really know how to use the online application. I will be applying online and sending the school forms by mail. I can do that, right? But the problem is, some of the teachers don't even use email.... -_- So how should I add their emails if they don't have one?

Also, because I'm sending the school reports by mail, how would I know if the colleges have received them or not? Is there a way to track them?

And last, I will be sending in fee waiver request for the applications. Since I am applying online, how do I send it? Do I mail it seperately (but commonapp says not to mix and match payments and applications) or scan and attach to.....?

Some colleges provide space for fee waiver request. However, you can find the information about fee waivers on the colleges’ respective supplements.

You can send those recommendations by mail. Sending by mail doesn’t require emails of your teachers.

Or… should I attach it as a supplement form for each school? Also, if I’m applying online, will I have to send my financial aid papers seperately by mail?

The thing is, I looked through their supplements and I couldn’t find any spaces regarding fee waiver. :(

If there aren’t any spaces provided for fee waivers, then they must have printed that information somewhere in the supplement. For example, Yale offered space to apply for fee waiver request, but this doesn’t mean that request is accepted. They send you an email if its rejected. If its accepted, then no email will be sent.

In the same way, some colleges mention to send the application directly without any waiver request. They would email you if they don’t give you a fee waiver.

And the remaining(most) colleges want an official fee waiver request through CollegeBoard. That fee waiver must be filled by your school counselor. If CollegeBoard approves that request, you will get fee waivers at those colleges.

Oh so about the teacher’s email, it is ok if I don’t add their emails? And if you can, will you help me with the other questions? Thank you!

Any question related to commonapp : ask CommonApp1975

In the payment section, there is an option for selecting 1 of three types of fee waivers. Select the appropriate one and follow up by mailing the waiver to the school.

Ohh Alright. Thank you for your help!
