Teacher Rec due date for EA

Hey guys,
I was thinking about applying EA. I was wondering what the date for the teacher rec is? I know our applicant stuff is Nov. 1

thanks in advance

everything has to be electronically submitted on or before nov 1 (this should be done way before if possible.)

if mailing items, the postmark date is nov 1 and send them to this address:

Northeastern University
Application Processing Center
P.O. Box 120
Randolph, MA 02368-9998 USA

and is Northeastern more competitive during EA or regular?

I would say both because there are a lot of applicants that go for both. But if i had to choose it would be regular.

Northeastern has a better success rate for EA and they will accept teacher recommendations after Nov. 1 provided your application is sent on time. Just send it to the mailing address and be sure it gets there by Nov. 15. Regular admission is much more competitive.

I don’t think it’s so simple to say “regular admission is much more competitive”. Certainly more people apply RD than EA (although it’s still a lot for EA). But EA students tend to have higher grades, scores and better ecs than the bulk of the RD students. So your competition for EA is probably higher than for RD.

That being said, if you are good enough to get in for RD but not EA, then they’ll just defer you. And by the time RD rolls around, there are a lot of places already gone. So you should apply EA.

Also- people might want to be cautioned this year. Last year Northeastern let in too many students, and it messed up everything (housing, dining, classrooms, professors…). They weren’t expecting so many students to say yes. So my guess is that they are going to let in less students this year.

Just on the percentage of students applying who are accepted, EA has much better chances, but also for the reasons you outlined. Whether or not the qualifications of EA applicants are better is another story.

I really don’t see any downside to applying EA. Neuchimie: can you think of any downsides?

You might not want to turn everything in by then? But that’s not a very good reason.

I talked to a lady from admissions today. My counselor sent everything but somehow my recs were forgotten. She said I have until Dec 1st for those.
