Teacher Rec: Word Count!

I wonder what is the optimal range of word count for Counselor/Teacher Recs?

My counselor told me she wrote a 750-word rec, which consists of 4 or 5 short little stories/dialogues that reflect my personality. Not many students in my school apply to Ivies/top colleges, so she asked me to check if that is alright.

What is the usual number of words (approx.) or, in general, length
of the recommendations?

Will Ivies and such despise long recs and ignore most of them, or do they like them? will they actually take the time to read it?

Thank you...!!!

hmm. Never thought of that.
I think 500 words should be alright.

750? Not sure. Perhaps someone could answer?

Anyhow, you’re very lucky that the teacher is willing to spend time to write you a specific letter. Good luck

Haha uhhh isn’t it your GC’s job to do the research on this stuff? Even if she doesn’t know, I feel like it should be their job to find out, not tell you to.

Anyway, I can’t give you a definite 100% answer, but I would say that should be fine. 750 words is on the longer side, but it’s not extensive. It gives a better idea of you as a person and gets the job done more adequately. If it is too long, I can’t see it harming you in any way. You waived your right to see it, I assume, so any problems they have with it would be more reflective on your GC than you.
