So as I was applying to some of. the bs on my list I came across an issue. Some require a counselor reccomendation. I'm confused as to who this is?

At my school we have the pschylogists that are considered counselors, and the homeroom teachers. I have never talked to the pschylogists in my life and I have never had my homeroom teacher for a class either. My homeroom teacher teaches special education so they don't really know me.

So in short who am I supposed to request to fill this out and is it possible to ask about having someone else fill out this reccomendation?

It is the guidance counselor not psychologist. Some forms say principal so I’d imagine you can get it filled by principal or assistant principal. Some middle schools have guidance counselors who help with class choices, honor vs regular, recommends math tracks, and helps with local high school choices and sends class recommendations to high schools. In our school district, 9th grade class selection is made not in September but by February.
High schools do have guidance counselors who write recommendation letters to colleges.

in our school we have a high school advisor …that’s who I gave all of the forms to and she distributed the rest of the forms to the appropriate teachers.

Either guidance counselor or principal is fine, even if the application specifically says counselor. My child had never even spoken with the middle school guidance counselor, so we asked the principal, who knew my C well, to complete the forms.
