I need two teacher recommendations. I already have one teacher, and now I need to decide on another.
Teacher #1
11th grade U.S. History Honors
Grade: A-
I was a good student, but I was not one of her favorite students.

Teacher #2
12th grade Geopolitical
Grade: A+
She offered to write me a recommendation, and likes me considerably more than my U.S. History teacher. However, this is an elective course, while U.S. History was a "legitimate" course.

And I want to choose a social studies teacher, since social sciences/studies is the field I am going into.

Teacher #2. If they know you better they will be able to write a better recommendation. And geopolitical sounds like a pretty legit class to me so don’t worry about it.

Geopolitical is close enough related to social studies. Go with her. But I urge you to reconsider your choice of degree. Can you find a job with the degree you’re getting? You don’t want to find yourself saddled with debt and having ^no job. You wouldn’t believe how many college seniors realize their mistake too late. I really thought it was common sense.

@avatarmage I know that Geopolitical is social studies. I said that in case people wanted to suggest me to find teachers from other subjects for recommendation letters. And thank you for the advice.

And BTW, I have two.
The other one is my German teacher for German 4 & 5 Honors, and AP German.
