I’m applying to a college that requires two core subject teacher recommendations, according to their site. If music is considered a core subject by the Every Child Achieves Act and I receive a grade for orchestra class, is my teacher considered a core subject teacher? Thank you.
Do not list your orchestra teacher as a core subject teacher, regardless of if it is “technically” allowed.
My advice would be to find a second teacher, and then if it allows supplemental letters of recommendation (most schools do), just submit that one.
