Teacher recommendation, very confused. Paper and electronic forms are different?

I am applying early at Nov. 1st and I am starting to worry about the whole thing.

Anyhow I am curious that on the website of the school to which I am applying, it says print out these forms and give it to your teacher so they can write an recommendation for you and mail it in.

But on the common application supplement part there's the invite teachers and counselor to write those information for you.

Are these two the same thing? This may seem like a really foolish question, but I feel like when the teacher fills out the online form he/she is filling out the same thing? I don't want to confuse my teachers. So far I am only applying to school with Common Application, so I don't want to mess with the envelope and stamp deal.

Don't want to mess up the whole application process.

Go ahead and invite your teacher to complete the process online. He or she will decide whether or not to complete online or by paper, and this decision will be reflected in the School Forms section of your Common App account. If the teacher goes online, you have nothing else to do. If the teacher chooses mail, he or she will be listed in your account as an “offline provider.” The teacher will be instructed to obtain forms from you, and you should be ready to provide them. You can obtain a teacher evaluation form from commonapp.org (Download Forms) OR from the link you have found on the college’s own website.
