Im heading into my sophomore year of college @ Univ of Cin. & Im stuck trying to figure out if I want to be a teacher, teaching bio or chem or get a degree in Information Systems or Business Management from the school of business @ UC. I know the 2 fields are on opposite ends of the spectrum but I was wondering if any1 could shine a little light about working for a company and things of that nature or teaching high school students.

Now I run T&F field @ 1 D1 level which is not a problem right now for school. And I eventually want to be a college coach, coaching whether. If i have to start at the high school level and then become an assistant T&F coach at a univ. and then a head coach Ill do that. I just have a very big passion for the sport so eventually i would like to make money coaching.

Right Now I Look At Business Degrees As:
Pro Con
1. Make good $ Work long hours

Get to travel for work Away from your family & might miss sporting events

Good look out for The MAN might hammer down on you plus constant
Information Systems since meetings that might make work longer
advancements are being made
with computers/technology

And for teaching is pretty easy when i think about it.
Pro: Educate the Youth, Con: BAD kids
Pro:A 2 month break, Con: Dont get paid
Con: Teachers arent paid as much as they should be
Con: School districts do numerous lay offs and replace teachers for less money

Back to school, I have met with several exploratory counselors, as well as counselors from UC's college or Business and college of education. For me I do not care about making tons of $$$ i just want to be happy and be able to coach track. I understand that I could teacher as well as coach track after school but I would like to still work instead of having 2 months off for summer break. Also, I know that people with business degrees work 10+ hours so I probably would not have as much time to develop athletes through coaching.

Is there any1 who can inform people about the work experience with having a business degree such as Information Systems or Business Management?? or any1 that knows any stories or point direct me to some useful information and/or have any teaching things that they would like to share?
