Which dorms at Tech are the best? I don't know much about the dorms at GT, but ideally I would like to have a room close to freshman classes in a nicer building with a good (but not too rowdy) social scene. Any ideas? Thanks.

I read your Emory thread. Are you still failing Calc BC? If you are, I would be concerned.

As far as dorms a lot of kids say the east side is more social and supposedly closer to classes. However DS is currently on the west side it isn’t very far from his classes and he likes the west side. He is staying on the west side this summer. However if you are planning on rushing then it’s probably better to be on the east side. Check and see when each dorm was last renovated that should help you decide.

^ Thanks for the input.

And FYI on Emory, we took a test today and I think I did well on it. I’ve talked with my cousin who goes to Tech and is a computer science major (second year), and he says that the math requirements for business majors don’t go that far beyond what equates to BC in high school, so I feel I’d be able to do well in college.

Still totally stressed about the prospect of having admissions rescinded, though!
