Telebears College Writing 1A Subject A requirement

You need to enroll in College Writing 1A to satisfy the Subject A requirement if you have not already done so. Placement in this course, however, is by examination only. If you have not yet taken a Subject A exam, call (510) 642-5570 for the next exam date.

wth does anyone see this on their telebears?

Did you complete IGETC? Maybe they haven't accepted the English course you took at your community college.

omg me too! I took AP Engish and Composition, I got a 4 on it. and I took the Critical Writing thing at CC. Ill contact somebody.

Degree Requirement-Reading and Composition Requirement P.O.S These are my lines of action, how about your Gaurdianangle 1) Petition it after a semester at Berk 2) If not that then take it at CC 3) if not that take it at Berk over summer. jeez

i see that on mine, but am thinking it is due to the fact that i have yet to submit my cc transcript. so, they do not know for sure that i've taken the two english prereqs and passed. i'll call, but i'm sure they'll just want my transcript to prove this was fulfilled.

Yeah I'm getting that too.

I'm pretty sure it does that for everyone.

What number should we call if we have questions?

You guys, if you click on the "Student Profile" tab under "Personal Information", it should say something like this:

"You are currently in the College of Letters and Science. Your class level is Junior with a major of Undeclared. You have not satisfied the American History requirement and the American Institutions requirement and the American Cultures requirement and the Subject A requirement. Please note that if you are a new undergraduate, this information may not be correct until you have finished your first term at Berkeley.. You are not on the Degree List for the FALL 08 semester.

I have the original message Guardiangel posted when I log on too, and I know for a fact that I have satisfied both the writing requirement (Subject A) and the American Institutions requirements (I emailed Cal when I was taking the course to see if it would transfer, and they said it definitely would). So yeah.. don't worry, things should clear up later.
