Telling my university I transferred?

Hey, guys. so i will be attending a different institution as a sophomore in the fall and obviously want to tell my current school ASAP so that another student trying to attend my current school can be admitted in my place.

However, I am doing a summer program with my current school (expenses paid by myself + a scholarship outside of my current school) and am afraid they will prevent me from taking it if they know I am not returning in the fall. It is an abroad program, and I leave soon + will need access to blackboard.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

Because of the summer program, you are still enrolled at your current university. When you are nearing the end of the summer term, that will be the time to let them know that you are transferring.

If you want to let them know sooner than that, go have a little chat with your advisor to find out what the process would be.
