I'm at School A now. For next year (Fall Semester 2014), I'm transferring to School B. I've already filled out transcript requests to have School A send over my final transcript to School B (they'll do it at the end of this semester, obviously). However, I did put down School A on my FAFSA, just in case I decide to stay. I haven't gotten an award yet, but when I do, should I tell School A that I'm transferring? And if I do, who should I tell (eg. the Financial Aid Office, the Admissions Office, etc...)? I've already made the mention to my advisor that I'm transferring, so I don't have to worry about telling him.

anyone?

Interesting question. I’m actually transferring myself, but I have no plans of informing anyone anything. But then again, I go to a CC, where it’s not as formal and there are probably students leaving constantly. Are you at a four year college? If so, it might be useful to tell someone. Ask your advisor or counselor if there is a process.

@anavera ; I am at a four year college, but I went to the Records & Registration Office today, and I was told that I don’t have to tell anyone at the college.

Ooh all right, cool. That’s good to know.
