Telluride Association Summer Program (TASP) 2012

I’m really enjoying how this thread has completely exploded now that the application due date is upon us. PROCRASTINATORS UNITE!

Haha yes. Just finished my second essay… 3 to go… (400 already on one, but less than 100 on the other two)

Tonight’s going to be a looong night

…The best thing about this application is that now I basically don’t have to write anything for my MITES application; I can basically just shorten up these essays and I’m done… Some I’ll have to alter a bit, but it won’t be nearly as horrid.

It’s technically the 24th for me now…

Oh well. Parents went to bed expecting me to be up until the deadline at 5am. :D

Between the essays + actual homework, I’m thinking it’s safe to say I’m in for a long night. Bring on the caffeine! (awkward that I almost put a hashtag but then realized that this is CC and not Twitter)

hahaha^

The one thing I’m grateful about is that tomorrow I have no school… It’s regents week here so unless you have to take a regents, you have the day off. :slight_smile:
I still do have to go to school tomorrow for a clarinet lesson, to turn in my physics homework and science bowl practice… But at least no actual class. :)

Gosh. Now I think my essays might be too long D: They’re all around 1000 words except for the personal conflict which got really long and rambly because I started realizing how messed up my life was and depressing stuff like that so now I can’t use punctuation

(blah)

Nice, everyone. Haha yay procrastinators! Only because I am one too!

Though nobody cares but rabidly happy me, I’ve now finished three and a half: critical analysis, booklist, seminar, and now halfway through conflict. But I’m really scared about the problem one, since I’m not sure how to approach it.

I feel proud of everything I’ve written so far, but feel like it’s not my best at all. Grrr…no time to rewrite. Must. Keep. Doing. This. Essay. And then two more after that gahhh…

@saffysparkles

My conflict essay got really bitter about three quarters of the way through.

I don’t think they’re too long in theory. If you read them through yourself and don’t think they’re too long, they’re perfectly fine. Let us feel better about our short essays without making me feel bad because we’ve made you feel bad about yours. My writing skills are out of the window tonight. :(

@randomazn14

Well done! Having similar emotions. Proud of the fact that I’ve written all of these essays but I know they’re not my best work. :/

Keep going!

Would anyone mind sharing how long their Critical Analysis is? I’m struggling. :/

@SimpsonLisa
1255 words, one of my longer ones

@EducatedFools

Drat. I’m not even half way on your word count but all I have left is like two paragraphs.

I’m hating this analysis! I’d change my text but I have no clue what I would change it to.

aahhh, freakingoutXD
All mine all under 1000 words, running out of things to say. What about you guys?

@bentley8

All of mine are too. :)

Not worried about any other than the Critical Analysis. The literature seminar is my first choice so I’ve got to do my best on this essay and hope it carries me through. :/

@simpson mines 602, no worries

@SimpsonLisa
I wrote mine on a piece that I was really inspired by so, my writing flowed more fluidly. I guess that helped.

Does anyone have any song suggestions I can listen to while writing my future plans essay?

California student here. Do you guys know if it is due at 9:00 PST or 12 PST? Still have 600 words left for my analysis essay. Thanks!

OH, and EducatedFools: Go on spotify or pandora and listen to ‘Explosions in the Sky’. Fantastic band to listen to when studying. Hans Zimmer always does work as well.

This analysis is going to kill me.
I’ve never written one before.
I’m still arguing back & forth about what I should write it about.
