Is it good? Does anyone know anything about its reputation, professors, screenwriting program, internships?? Any help would be appreciated.
My daughter will be entering the film department in September, with a concentration in Screen Studies, which emphasizes more film criticism and appreciation. Several of her film making classmates in high school have also applied to Temple. Temple doesn’t require a film portfolio for admission; the students submit portfolio after sophomore year, to see if they will continue in the film making concentration, if that’s what they have chosen to focus on. My daughter has had 4 years of filmmaking classes in high school, and a summer camp experience with the NY Film Academy. She has won a couple of school awards. I know there were some more rigorous programs we looked into, like SUNY Purchase, with a 10% admission rate into their film conservatory, but she liked Temple best and several kids interested in film from our high-achieving suburban NJ school have applied…
Thanks for the info. Good luck to your daughter!
