I currently attend a community college and plan to transfer to one of these schools in 2018. I really like both of these schools, as I feel that they have strong Communication programs. However, I’ve noticed that Temple’s program is more known and I hear more reviews (mostly good), about it than Towson’s program. I’ve read that Towson is known for a lot of their majors, but communications isn’t one of them. I feel that it doesn’t mater what school you go to, it’s what you do with the degree that matters, but I would like to hear other people’s opinions on Temple and Towson’s communication program. I am also considering finances as I am looking at schools because I want to attend a school that I know I can afford and that I know will give me enough aid. With majors and finances being my main considerations, should I choose Towson or Temple?
Where are you in state? Temple is pretty expensive out of state (like most schools). If you’re not a PA resident, it isn’t a good choice if finances are a big consideration (our son goes to Temple from out of state, but he has a sizeable scholarship).
Since you like bothof them, go ahead and apply. If you are admitted to both, compare the aid packages and see what you think then.
Instead of going on rumors about which is better known in one place or another, contact the career centers on both campuses, and find out where students with your majorhave been hired in recent years.
