Hi, I am from China and have been accepted by Temple and U South Carolina for Masters in sports management this fall. I am confused as i dont have any idea about the differences between the programs. Could anyone tell me the pros and cons about their programs, and two schools please?

One of my biggest questions is internship opportunities. Finding an internship is not going to be easy anywhere, but do both schools have good connections to actually help students? Most people around me suggest that I go to Temple because of its good location, a real urban campus in Philadelpia. But Im not sure if I can adapt myself to city life there as I came from suburban area. Also I know it is very different from China’s urban life. Columbia seems more like a quiet and smaller city. I am wondering what types of internships do students usually do there? And does location really matter a lot for this major?

By the way, I am worried about safety in Temple. Is it a big problem there? Especially my courses are all offered after 4:30pm, I might have to take public transportation to class. I don’t want it to be too much of a big issue for me.

One more thing, USC gave a more clear response to me: course schedule, housing, financial aid…etc. However Temple never answered my questions to the point, which made me more confused about the school and their program.

I could hardly get that much information of these issues as im not in the States. I really need your advice…any help appreciated…Thank you very much!
