I applied with a 3.5 GPA to Temple University back in December using the Temple Option (where you don’t submit standardized testing scores and instead answer a series of self reflective questions). On February 28, I received an email stating my application has been put on hold for a second review. I thought this wasn’t the end of the world for me because I hadn’t been declined OR accepted and there was still a good chance I’d get in. They said the decision will be made no later than April 1, 2018. Today, after waiting patiently for a response, I checked the TUportal only to find that I have been waitlisted. Is anyone able to clarify what that means and what I should do next? Also does anyone know what my chances are? It feels like they either need additional information from me or are just playing games with my life. Thank you.
It depends on whether you really want to go to Temple. If they called you from the WL, and you would absolutely go, send an email telling your regional admissions officer just that. Temple is my first choice, and if offered a place in the class of 2022 you would definitely accept.
I’m sorry it went that way for you.
HI, I was also waitlisted. I was told to send a follow-up email and update them on why I’d like to specifically go to Temple. Hopefully this works out in my favor lol
