hahahahahhaha this is so laughably untrue. We have tons and tons of people from NY, NJ, CT, and MD/D.C. and a large contingent from New England and Florida.

Everyone I know here from NJ got into Rutgers, but had no interest in going to college in NJ.

My best friend at Temple is from Dallas.
My roommate and suit-mates freshman year were from NJ, NJ and South Korea.

Next year we have a bunch of kids coming from Colorado, Atlanta, Chicago, and expanding our footprint west, with a decent amount of kids from LA, Seattle, Phoenix.

Not to mention the number of internationals we have.

Schools people coming in turned down for Temple: Binghamton, UConn, Rutgers, Penn, BU, UDel, Penn State, Pitt, Ohio State, Colorado, Oregon, Alabama, Texas A&M, Fordham, Northeastern, Syracuse, SJU ¶(LOL), Ithaca, Miami, Illinois, UMass, Indiana, NYU, VA Tech, Missouri, Tennessee, Villanova, GWU, Marquette, Bentley, Tulane, UVA, Vanderbilt, American, Baylor, Wisconsin, Bucknell, Lehigh, USC, Lafayette.

So as you can see, people turned down some pretty damn good schools for Temple. I think saying Temple is not a destination college is laughable, especially coming from someone who goes to school in Bala Cynwyd/Overbrook.
