I got into both temple and rutgers. I received a large scholarship from temple so the schools pretty much cost the same. I understand rutgers has a great reputation, ranked high on the college list, and is a quality school. Im from nj and i know too many people that go there and feel i wont get the true college experience. I live 30 min down the road from rutgers. I think philly is an awesome city and i dont doubt i would have fun and enjoy the people, but comparatively, is going to temple just as good/ good enough as rutgers? Im a double major of economics and environmental policy

Batman-If the two schools cost the same I would go with where you feel you would be happiest (sounds like Temple?)…your education is what you make of it and you can get as good an education at Temple as Rutgers provided that you put in the effort.

Were you accepted into the honors program at Temple? If so, that would be a big plus as well. Good luck on your decision.

you sound exactly like me! I want to study pre med and got into both schools and resdie in nj. I’m confused because i love temple and the money they gave (minus loans), add up to around the same amount with room and board. I have to go over a few things just to see because I feel like I know Rutgers well (I live 10mins away), but I think part of college is living in.

I ended up choosing Rutgers cuz out of a school of 30,000+ there were only a few from high school i wanted to avoid. also, it is better for both of my majors. good luck in your choice!
