My friend has to make a decision. He got accepted to CMU's tepper school of business, he also got into Mich LSA but didnt apply to preadmit. Should he go to Tepper or should he risk applying to Ross? He likes the michigan campus more, but he really wants a business school with good placement rate to wall street.

Ross is much better for front-office Wall Street jobs. Do CMU if you want to something more like half engineering/half business. CMU is comparable to Sloan in this respect. It's known for information systems and quantitative analysis (stuff like Ross's OMS department). Most graduates want to work in quantitative positions. Both schools are good, but Ross has the edge for Wall Street.
