What percentages do "match," "high match," "low reach," and "reach" make up in terms of getting in?

Match- n. when a college’s admission patterns/statistics are equal to an applicant’s qualifications

Reach- n. when a college’s admission patterns/statistics are a bit higher than an applicant’s qualifications, ‘reach’ referring to the college being a healthy grasp for the applicant in regards to going to the best college possible

Low Reach- n. when a college admission’s patterns/statistics are a bit lower than an applicant’s qualifications, but still being a general challenge

High Reach- n. when a college admission’s patterns/statistics are much higher than an applicant’s qualifications despite being in a range that’s not totally impossible for acceptance

About 75%, 50%, 60%, 25%ish respectively (vary GREATLY per unique case)

would that apply for schools even like HYPSM?

^ Anyone that says HYPSM are safeties, matches or low reaches is an idiot barring the cases where the applicant asking to be chanced has an incredible hook/is an academic superstar.

lol imagine someone saying an ivy school is a safety haha.

Imagine how super badass someone with a safety school like Princeton or Stanford or Harvard would have to be? Has to be someone with a 2400SAT/36 ACT, 4.0 unweighted, valedictorian, straight 800s on subject tests, LOTS of AP’s with 5’s, national champions in lots of stuff, MANY MANY AWARDS, MANY MANY EC’s, a URM, a legacy, and a big donor for buildings. Do you think someone like that could have HYPSM as safeties?

Well that doesn’t really mean automatic admission, say someone had that and also was an African rebel solely responsible for killing 10,000 people and then wrote an admission essay and how the taste of blood is sweet.

Anyway, if HYPSM are your safeties, unless you have some way to travel to other galaxies with intelligent life forms that have even better colleges, you kind have nothing to achieve higher.
