i want to be an esl teacher, any suggestions on what I should get my bachelors degree in? I was thinking linguistics. also any colleges with good undergraduate programs for linguistics? preferable in new England. thanks!
Wanna know this too!!
I’m sorry, but I haven’t got a clue.
Why don’t the two of you start doing research and pool the info you get.
One standard bit of advice: consider staying in state. That way, the certification you receive will enable you to work right away without needing additional paperwork or coursework.
Your state education website can give you info-- look under “teacher certification.”
If you do go out of state, look up which states, if any, offer reciprocal certification with your own.
