Test Anxiety?

I recently received my Feburary 9th Act scores back and was very disappointed with the results. I got a composite score of 32 which is not a bad score at all, however in all the official practice tests i have taken i was averaging a 34-35! Does anyone have any recommendations on how to overcome this? Or any personal experiences they would like to share?

You need to analyze why you think you did not perform as well on the real test.

Do you take the practice tests under simulated testing conditions (i.e. time, no distractions, do all sections in a single sitting, etc.)? That can go a long way in helping you perform just as well on test day.

Were your scores lower across the sections, or was there a single section that you did poorly on that brought down the composite score?

If you look at why exactly you didn’t do as well as in your practice tests, you’ll figure out how to avoid those errors next time.
