Test-optional for OOS merit aid at UCONN (class of 2025)?

Curious as to how many kids applying to UCONN for merit aid consideration for the class of 2025 are doing so as test optional? We’ve had numerous discussions with staff there who say they will use a holistic approach and applicants won’t be at a disadvantage if no scores are submitted. As an OOS student, even a little merit aid would be helpful (although we can make it happen regardless).

Student is signed up for testing in December, but with the Dec 1 deadline for merit aid and after so many cancellations in the past 7 months, at this point, our student is planning to apply without scores (can submit test scores afterwards – UCONN says we can ask to have it added for reconsideration).

Wondering what anyone thinks the chances are for OOS merit with the following stats but no test scores: GPA 3.85UW / 4.15W, honors / AP courses with 4s and 5s on AP exams, NHS, French and German honor societies, writing center tutor, varsity athlete (preferred walk on for sport at UCONN).

Thanks in advance!
