Test scores and admission

I recently got my test scores back from the ACT and I will be taking the SAT again soon.

Here are the ACT scores:
First Try:
Composite:28
Math:29
Science:32
English:27
Reading:25

Second Try:
Composite: 29
Math: 32
Science: 32
English: 30
Reading: 21 (I messed up badly)

How badly do you think that 21 on Reading will affect me getting into some colleges? This is my second time taking the ACT and I improved on everything but went down from a 25 on reading, so my composite only went up by one.

Send both scores and the colleges will take into your account the better composite score (the 2nd one) and the better reading score (the 1st one). The composite score is really the most important though, so obviously at least send the 2nd score.

Except most schools do not superscore the ACT.

That’s true, but my counselor told me today that even if it isn’t “official”, they still see it. But obviously I’m only one person and I don’t make the rules so keep that in mind too. ;-)
