Hi, I recently got accepted into the CAP program for UT which wasn’t bad at all since UTSA was one of the schools I applied for. However I also applied for Texas A&M, but since I am not an automatic acceptance I probably will not get my acceptance or denial letter until mid-late March. I want to pursue a major in psychology ba… my questions are if I accept the agreement for the UTSA CAP program which begins in February ( limited room ) can I opt-out of it if I decide to go to A&M if they accept me? and also which school is better by factoring in the school-life, skill of professors for my major, and just overall enjoyment… has anybody done both?? Please help ASAP!!
The CAP for UTSA opened feb 6th at 6pm, I checked at 8pm and all spots taken! How many did they have I wonder? UTSA was the school my son wanted but the CAP info said after a year you would go into UT Austin as a Liberal Arts major? No guarantee you can change. My son also just received A&M decision and was offered similar, PSA for one year at participating schools and then transfer to College Station. He also was accepted to LSU so we are undecided at the moment. We thought he would get into A&M so kinda bummed. SAT was 1340, Good luck on your journey!
I received PSA as well , but I am very confused and am wondering if any other PSA students are confused about this too ! I was told I will be participating for 1 year at Texas A&M international and that I am already enrolled and should be awaiting for a acceptance letter . I got an email from that school saying I need to send in a application so it can go under review ??? Wasn’t I already prequalified ?? Could I get denied being a PSA student ?
I am almost positive that you have automatic acceptance into the other satellite schools for TAMU, I would call the admissions office and ask them… they are usually pretty helpful.
