Hey, so I am really intrested in joining a Fraternity this fall at UT. I have been accepted in to McCombs and have signed up for the first orientation session already. I am, however, from out of state... I know there are a lot of summer rush events that take place, but because I don't live in Texas I cannot just drive to Austin in a days notice for them. I'm already bummed that I couldn't go to Round Up because the dates didn't line up. I know two current students but neither of them rushed. My aunt and uncle did go to UT though and basically every member of my family rushed at their respective colleges. So, I guess, in short: what is the best way to get invites to the summer rush events and then a bid after that?

Chipsrun…there will be parties during orientation. You need to register with IFC so that they know who you are. You should get some invites from that. Are you a legacy to any fraternities at UT? IF so, have your legacy contact that fraternity to let them know you will be in town during orientation.
