Well first problem is whether or not I should get my books now. Cause I don't want to pay for a book and end up not needing it.
My other problem is that the Math 3A textbook and its isbn isn't listed in the bookstore. So I can't look for it online and I really don't want to get the useless package.

it’s hard to say:

+for some BIG classes, books run out fast. and if you didn’t preorder them, you wont get it.
+for some classes, you won’t even use the book. it’s usually the optional textbook.
+for some classes, the book isn’t hard to find and you can wait to get it.
+for some universal classes, people will be selling the book used and you can get it cheap.

Math 3A is a big class so the books might run out fast. It’s also a popular universal class, so if you ask around you can find it used or even online.

Thanks that helps a little bit. But the big problem is I don’t even know what book Math 3A uses cause the only thing the bookstore list is the package.

Yeah can anyone explain what that package is and if it’s necessary? It’s every expensive and you can’t exactly get it anywhere else…

the package is for the whole year. aka, if you want to take the whole math 3 series, you will use this package for all the classes in it.

Actually, I think the Math 3C class uses a different book. The package includes an access code to an online solutions manual as well as the paperback version of the textbook (Which is why the package cost is so cheap). Although I took Math 3B last year,I am quite certain that the textbook you need for the 3A class is Single Variable Calculus: Early Transcendentals by Stewart (isbn 9780495011699) since the textbook for 3A and 3B seems to be the same for both classes.

i ordered 3 books from the ucsb bookstore but they only sent me 2. The book that i didnt get was an econ1 book. should i call them or something? why didnt they send it?
