Texting

I just find it annoying how many kids at my high school insist on texting in class, between class in the hallways (and bump into you), and pretend to do (when waiting for a friend)

I don't understand texting since I don't text and I guess I'm a loner with no best friends to text.

What do you guys text about? What's your opinion on texting?

People bumping into you while texting is kind of rude, but whatever. And almost everyone has at one point in their life whipped out their phone just so they wouldn’t look like a loner. There’s a fb group for that lol.

I text about whatever’s on my mind. Sometimes something crosses your mind or an interesting event occurs, and you get the urge to tell a certain person. And besides, most of what is taught in class can be self-learned in less than 5 minutes at home, so it’s not like we’re really missing anything important.

I’m not usually alone but If I am, I call someone…I don’t text them…

I use texting when I want to talk to someone but I’m already on the phone. It just helps me keep in touch with my friends. I text friends about anything…just whatever is on my mind.

I can get irritated when I see a friend who texts 24/7 especially when I am trying to talk to him or her. I also feel that there are kids in my school who text during class because they think that it will make themself look cool if others in the classroom notice he or she is breaking rules.

texting is lame. I never text.

i text rarely but honestly it’s *ing pointless to text each other 100 times just get on the phone .

Txting is awesome, it gets so many things that u cannot find possible

My parents would never let me text.

I text because I stutter on the phone? :}

I usually never text in class unless I need to tell my mom something.
But when I do text (in lunch or in the halls), I usually do it if I absolutely have to tell that I won’t see for a while. Usually involves particularly raunchy gossip or a collaborative project due in a couple of periods.
I am so annoyed when people in the same class text each other and sometimes reply to each other’s texts verbally. I’m like, really? You can’t just talk? You have to talk and text?
But I guess most people text because it’s easier than passing notes.

^ugh, I HATE when people text in the same class. I don’t get it.

I don’t text during the school day, except to text my mom like if practice was cancelled or something.

I don’t really text much, period. I would rather talk to them on the phone, or fb chat or aim or something.

I don’t get the hate for texting in class. Why do you care so much?

I text in my study hall/teacher helper class because the teacher doesn’t care. We can make phone calls in there, check our voice mail. It’s a BC calc class for people who already took AB. There aren’t many of them, so it’s small, they’re all smart, and they don’t have much to learn, so we text and have food parties and generally mess around. I text in orchestra too, but only when we’re not playing at the moment. Like, before tuning.

But I’m not big on texting. I text like 3 people, and none of them very much.

Most of my friends don’t have text, so I just talk to them on AIM mobile. If i’m waiting for my mom and there’s someone else that’s also waiting, i text so the situation wouldn’t feel so weird. It gives me something to do. Sometimes I text so i don’t have to talk with some people :P

I have no one to text to… but it’s annoying to me. I have more important things to do, like reading a calc textbook.

I’m mad pro at texting while walking down the hall way. I avoid everyone like a effing ninja. Maybe it’s because I’m asian, and its my inborn abilities to detect things around me without looking, but YOU KNOW.
