<p>Don’t want it, broken phone, inexpensive phone plan.</p>
<p>Only one of my friends doesn’t have it. Instead of texting him, I just call him.</p>
<p>I call people most of the time anyway. The only time I text is when my friends text me first.</p>

<li>is paying for the phone plan themselves and don’t want the extra monetary burden</li>

<p>I don’t care. If they don’t/do want texting, it’s fine. I don’t judge them.</p>

<p>I wouldn’t really care… I mean I txt but I wouldn’t judge someone if the couldn’t/didn’t. Theres so many ways to contact people nowadays it would hardly matter…</p>
<p>I don’t have text (now that I’m working, I have to actually pay my own bills…), but never had any problems. My friends message me on Facebook or just e-mail me or call me, which is the best.</p>
<p>I don’t!-_- I had a free 1,000 plan [10 bucks] and if I wanted to keep unlimited I would have to pay 15 bucks. Wasn’t worth it. Needless to say I went over and my parents locked it. Sinc eI only text, I got the app TextFree on my phone since it has internet lol.</p>

it sucks since that was always my main way of communicating. Fb chat is messed up especially with all the new changes they keep making -.-</p>

<p>I don’t know of anyone personally whose phone doesn’t have the capability to send or receive text messages.</p>
<p>I don’t have texting but I text occasionally if I can’t get in touch with someone in another way…it’s never really been a problem. Honestly, I live with my friends so I hardly even use my phone.</p>

<p>I think, wow that sucks for them. Its prolly cuz their parents wont let them or their parents are cheap. (no way its cuz the kid doesnt want it, its like max 10 bucks a month extra which isn’t much at all)</p>
<p>And then I dont keep in touch with them cuz its a hassle to have to call</p>

<p>My parents are actually really liberal (for lack of better word) Asian parents, but they’re not very keen on the texting idea. Their reasoning is that I’ll be texting people all the time and getting distracted and so on. Fair enough. :P</p>
<p>I really don’t care, but I see it that their parents either have a financial situation or are just a little bit too strict. I know people that don’t have cell phones and their parents are really struggling with money and stuff. I have a friend whose parents are just freaking ***holes about it. Her little sister (middle schooler) even has one, but they won’t let the mature one have a cell phone? You know that situation is messed up.</p>
