Thank-you cards?

I heard UChicago sends thank you cards to students who write good essays, is that true?

I don't know about thank you cards, but I hear they send out these little pieces of paper called acceptance letters to students who write good essays.

not necessarily xD....but most likely
I've read it somewhere...can't remember! but they do send SOMETHING that talks about your essay and how they appreciated it..

Idk I got a holiday card that was hand written by my regional counselor. She is very nice and funny. She didn't comment on my essays but just in general saying congratulations on your hard work and to ask her if I needed any winter clothing tips (I am from San Diego loool)

i got a holiday card which, at least i think, referenced an essay that i wrote. it was hand-written by who i think was my admissions counselor.

I have gotten no cards from my regional counselor, although my alumni interviewer called me up to congratulate me! I really want a card from Jeffrey Hreben. :>)

Machiavelli, the winter clothing tips cracks me up!

I got one from my regional counselor that said I "have a very unique writing style that really stood out."

ouch..i just got a generic happy holidays.

guess my essays didnt stick out

It probably depends on who your counselor is. Haha, maybe every region has a different standard message.

S1 never received any kind of note in regards to his essays only later (during the school year) to be asked if his could be included in a collection of outstanding essays that was being assembled by someone at Chicago, so I wouldn't fret too much if one doesn't get a note.
