Thank you CC!

Fellow CCer's, I just wanted to thank each and every one of you who has been involved in D's journey. Your posts and threads have been an amazing resource. D and I could not have done it without you. We don't know what D's decision will be yet, but we do know that she has incredible choices because of the Music Major Board!!! I plan on paying it forward and to continue learning from CC. Thanks again to all of you for your support, encouragement, and kind words!

Me too! Thank you, thank you. DS had such incredibly good results, and I really do wonder what would have happened had I not found this board!

Since I wish I had found this board LAST year, I passed the site and info. on to D's high school music department teachers and guidance office. There is so much helpful info. on here, that should not go to waste.

It has been the most invaluable resource to me and my family. I am so grateful. I used Bassdad's essay as a foundation for organizing our search and went from there. I wouldn't have had a clue otherwise! Also, when there have been issues (and there have been some big ones!), it has been so very helpful to have the experience of all you good people to toss these issues around. I have always found the answers to my questions thoughtful, kind and helpful even when I didn't necessarily agree. It's like having a group of college counsellors at your fingertips. My son's actual college counsellor was a little annoyed, I think, because I was so capable of handling a lot of my son's organizing without her help (and thank goodness for that because she really doesn't have a clue about music schools).

Sooooooo great!! I look forward to posting into the future and hopefully I'll be able to help others going through this arduous, but wonderful process.

Thanks for posting. I'm not much help with singers, but I hang around hoping that some of our seat-of-the-pants training will help someone else. So glad you have had good outcomes, all of you! Congratulations. Someday I hope that we will figure out this professional job audition stuff -- then I can help with that, too. :D

Without a doubt, our family has found this board to be an invaluable resource.

The generosity of spirit exhibited by so many of you who post here is nothing short of astounding. Heartfelt thanks to all whose advice helped inform what otherwise could have been quite an intimidating process.

This is SUCH a great resource! I started with a long list of the "usual suspects" for my daughter's VP search -- and months later, have an entirely different long list, thank to the recommendations here. Will be beginning the visits in mid-April!

Thanks!

I am glad you all finding this board useful. Those of us who have been through it know how difficult it is to get good information. Congrats to all of you and your children!

This is the 21st century village square!

More than happy to pass along what I found out during son's journey.

Thanks for expressing our feelings so well singermom1. Without this board last year I am not sure how we would have gotten through it all. Without the help of so many we would not have found the school and teacher she is with now. She is so happy and doing so well that I will be forever grateful and will be paying it forward for a while.

Oh wow, I was just thinking about making a thread like this!

I second (third? eighth?) everyone's sentiments.... I owe SO much to this board. I had no idea how complicated this process was going to be when I started out. Thanks to all the wonderful people here, however, I was never lacking in advice or answers to obnoxiously specific questions. Thank you!!!!!!

I must also say thank you to all of you here. Because of your suggestions for having my son's abilities evaluated, we were able to find a wonderful transition teacher who knew all about college auditions. Last summer when I found this board, I thought we might not make it in time for auditions this year. The advice about getting started immediately and how to do it made it possible for my S to take another step toward his dream. I am not a frequent poster, but I read it almost daily and appreciate the support group feeling. You kept us in the loop. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
