Thank you for the Support

As this last weekend is upon us before the "big day" I would just like to thank all the parents and students on the message board.

According to Alexz i have become addicted to the forum, and for good reason.

I really enjoy the thoughts and concerns and sometimes the silliness that comes from the students, it reminds me that my d is still a teenager with teenage issues and concerns.

I appreciate the various point of view from the parents, and all the ideas that come up that never even crossed my mine.

I appreciate all of you who have sent me private messages of support, information and encouragement.

Being from the midwest, the whole idea of bs is very foreign. The lack of support, even from the people who know how much i love my d and care about her education is sometimes overwhelming and isolating. Here I have found a "family" of people who have many of the same concerns and goals, worries and apprehensions.

I promise to post our results when we get them. I am not quite sure if I will be around if we fail to get into a school. My focus must then fall towards a college program that will take a 15 year old. If we are lucky enough to get a "fit", trust me I will be around at least the for the next 3 or 4 years for the support, and to offer others what I have learning and experienced.

But, please forgive my rambling,

Thank you for all that you have given me and I wish all of you well :-)

I agree that this board is great. While my D is applying to day schools, a lot of the issues are similar, especially the fact that, as parents, we want the best education possible for our child(ren). I will definitely be sticking around and who knows, maybe my D will decide on boarding school when she is applying for 9th grade!

As an applicant, I agree with everything Alexz825Mom says. Not many educated people in my country have heard of PA or PEA, let alone applying, therefore I’m truly grateful for the invaluable insights to the admission process and boarding schools in general from current students, parents, and fellow applicants. I wouldn’t have been prepared for this difficult process without CollegeConfidential :D! CC is also a great opportunity to talk with teenagers who share the same passions and interests as me.
